Parisian bus stop adverts
Saw this and thought it was kinda cool... certainly a lot better than the adverts in the bus shelters around here.

I like the way that instead of seeing clothes being worn by stick insect models in some photo shoot in the Bahamas, you can actually see what the goods look like in real life. They'd probably just get stolen around here though

Re: Parisian bus stop adverts
They've had similar ads to that over here for years.
There is one (I know of) at Lewisham where they have had various objects inside the glass including clothes, a guitar (at one point) and it currently contains a computer with touch screen LCD providing an interactive map of the area.
Also, there used to be a large billboard around the Oval somewhere that, IIRC, was advertising a famous superglue (solvite I think) and had a car glued to the billboard.

Re: Parisian bus stop adverts
I remember something like that for a brand of jeans in Manchester, a few years ago. They'd made a device which made it look like they were in water. A few signs saying that the stop was under CCTV surveillance though

Re: Parisian bus stop adverts
Levis stuck real jeans on advertising boards years ago, and as far as i can recollect, when they were stolen there was a jeans outline with the word stolen underneath. I think they were expecting them to get nicked. Unfortunately non were in my size

Well if they want to show what the ordinary person would look like in them then they should stop using 8 feet tall skinny bints and start using 5 ft ,fat old biddies.

Re: Parisian bus stop adverts
Did some market research a while ago and Carling are thinking about doing 3D billboards to tie in with some TV advertising.
Basically a big flock of birds in 3D hanging in front of the billboard with 'Belong' replacing the word Carling on the logo.

I agree with you Inco, I believe the average British woman is a size 16! is that right?

Re: Parisian bus stop adverts
Judging by the average woman in Swindon, I think you're being a bit optimistic, Tinky...
Oh, and thanks for the replies about having similar billboards over here in Blighty. Didn't realise we had 'em already. We've only just discovered fire in deepest, darkest Wiltshire... and there's a rumour of this new fangled thing called a wheel, but I don't think it'll catch on personally.

Re: Parisian bus stop adverts
That looks pretty good.
Though as most have said, in some cities, it wouldn't last there very long.
