Bahamas Anyone ?

Anybody been to the Bahamas ? In particular, Paradise Island.

My parents wish to go there (lucky buggers), and are after opinions on hotels there. They have told me they want to go to the Atlantis, or one of the surrounding hotels (Riu Paradise Island in particular). They have had little luck, finding any websites, that have reviews. I've looked myself, at sites like holiday-truths.com , but to he honest, reviews are pretty thin on the ground. Can anyone suggest any review sites, or have any first hand information ?

My parents have been wanting to go there for a while too. Looks superb but I would be concerned about the size of the place. The hotel is huge and seems like its not easy to get around.

But who cares when your in the Bahama's !

But who cares when your in the Bahama's !

Some of the reviews do seem to support what you say, about not being easy to get around. I'm not sure. whether they cater for people with disabilities, as my mother needs a walk in shower really.

Went this year, but only for a day, our hotel sailed off into the sunset!
A mate of mine at work was raving about this place though http://www.harborsideresort.com/ may be worth considering, not sure if it's timeshare or not though.
