Legal Question

I have posted about the problems Ive had with my car on a forum about the manufacturer and to date have had 500 reads and 10 emails asking me about the garage concerned.

They ignored my requests for a full refund and this is the result. I now want to email them a link to the post with a 'Thanks for nothing!' Is it all legally OK to name them etc on the website as everything I wrote about them is true....or can they do me for using their name etc?

Cheers any legal experts!

Re: Legal Question

Libel proceedings are very expensive to defend

Even if what you said was true

And the burden of proof is on the defendant, not the claimant

Southern Counties Radio do a consumer help program, not sure of the exact times, but if you send them your information, they'll look into it on air and put pressure on the garage to provide any service you're legally entitled to.
That would be your best bet, and I believe if they don't get the right outcome, they'll name and shame (but they don't like naming before they've exhausted all possibilities).
Or just contact trading standards.
