Typhoid
Pretty sure I've caught something from all that sewage last Friday I've gone down with aches and shivering, sore throat, headache... Nose is a bit bunged up but not much. Also feel nauseous and weak. It's not good - had to take a day off work, which costs me money Bit fed up

Are you having what Rupert Everett calls a queenie moment?
Take your hypochondriac carcase to bed and stay there with loads of fluids, some paracetamol and a hot water bottle.Stay home until you feel better(that way everyone else avoids becoming ill) and remember to call the doctor if you start to have visions.
I suspect you merely have flue.Hopefully not the new super, duper killer flue but as you are managing to get to a PC I suspect not.
Oooops I hope I haven't given you something else to worry about.

Re: Typhoid
Whatever it is, you're clearly not in a fit state to post on CF. Find something else to do. Go shopping, or clean the house, or paint the kitchen or something

Re: Typhoid
Thanks for all the love Queenie moment indeed! I've sat here bored, wrapped in a blanket, with a cup of tea. It's weird that my nose isn't bunged up though

Hangover, 100% sure of it, try taking a couple of hot toddies, it might not make the symptoms go away but you'll feel happier about them

Re: Typhoid
Just for the record, the symptoms for typhoid are ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoid):
- a high fever from 39 °C to 40 °C (103 °F to 104 °F) that rises slowly
- chills
- bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- weakness
- diarrhea
- headaches
- myalgia (muscle pain), not to be confused with the more severe muscle pain in Dengue fever, known as "Breakbone fever."
- lack of appetite
- constipation
- stomach pains
- in some cases, a rash of flat, rose-colored spots called "rose spots"
- in some cases, loss of hair resulting from the prolonged high fever
- extreme symptoms such as intestinal perforation or hemorrhage, delusions and confusion are also possible.

Re: Typhoid
<checks pulse> <tugs at hair> <searches for spots> Nope Wish it was a hangover. I don't know how people who work with sewage aren't ill all the time. Respect!

Anyway, don't you count it as a good day when you only make people feel nauseous and weak
