Can you live without your mobile?
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/...542422,00.html The article suggests that many young people are so hooked on mobiles they have the same dependancy similar to gambling addicts. Are you addicted or maybe not even use one?

Re: Can you live without your mobile?
I've got one, had various ones for ages. I like it alot, but I don't depend on it. I find SMS convenient but it's not something I couldn't live without.

Re: Can you live without your mobile?
Not addicted but I feel uneasy going out without it. Don't use it much - couple of times a week but like to have it with me in case the family need me.

I could live without it, but it's great to have one with me.

I could easily do without my mobile...I've only used £10 credit in 6 months.

I managed it for a good 5months when we simply couldn't afford it... It's not that bad really.
However, i fear i'm hooked once again.

Re: Can you live without your mobile?
I just realised that I haven't switched my phone on for nearly a week & a friend sent me a text I missed, oops
I am usually never further than 20 minutes from a land line, so i can live without a mobile, but I have found sms is a useful alternative to email, for plain text

Re: Can you live without your mobile?
Yes I can. In fact I often forget to take it with me.
I only use it on holiday or when we are arranging to meet up and have to change plans.

I'm the same - seeing as I work 35 miles from home, and the stoopid motoroway is often closed or full of traffic, I like to have it so I can let Mrs Nug know if I'm going to be hooogely late.

And I've just realised that, having finally got your number when we went for drinky-poos, I haven't used it since - Bad Nug

Re: Can you live without your mobile?
It's just a tool, like many others - might be useful, but not always necessary.
Now I just have a personal mobile, rather than a work-supplied one, life is much quieter (or could be just that I am William No-Mates)

Re: Can you live without your mobile?
I don't have a landline, and seen as i use the calendar facility as my diary - I would be completely lost without it
