Mixed sweets and the order of eating thereof
By mixed sweets, I mean things like Liquorice Allsorts or Quality Street. Now, almost by definition, mixed sweets contain things ranging from the ambrosia of the gods down to something manufactured from dried camel dung.
In the case of Liquorice Allsorts, the ambrosia is obviously those round, jelly ones coated in red and blue beads and the dried camel dung are the coconut ones.
So, have you the will power to force myself to get rid of the coconut ones first so that you can anticipate, and then savour, the delights of the bead-coated jelly ones? Of course, there is always the horrible moment when some totally unfeeling member of the family dips in and swipes your carefully hoarded favourites. Hanging, drawing and quartering would not be too severe a punishment for this offence.

I've got to agree that the green triangles are number one.

Re: Mixed sweets and the order of eating thereof
I must be odd, I like the coffee ones and the coconut ones and in licorice alsorts I only like the coconut ones. When It comes to roses or quality street I don't pick I just grab the first one I come to.

bertie bassett (since he turned half blue half black) is the best of the liquorice allsorts. Followed by the bobbly ones and the coconut rings.
Bottom is the "chocolate" (aka taste like mud) sandwiches.

I always go hunting for the Purple Quality Street. It is good that there is a king size version you can buy too.
The hard caramel ones that are likely to break your teeth always end up last as I can't stand them.

Try Jelly Belly Beans; really distinct flavours.

And really distinct prices as well! Yes, they're very nice but you need to take out a second mortgage to afford them.

Re: Mixed sweets and the order of eating thereof
Buy two or three bags then you can eat all your favorite ones and have a right belly full and then give away the mingers to nephews / neices etc and be a hero in the process
Works for me..
