prÃÂÂÂ*ckly heat
Does anyone else suffer from this ??? Ive have tried allsorts and nothing ever seems to help or relieve it. I love summer but always get itchy spots all over when the sun comes out, and apart from staying indoors and never going on holiday, there is no cure
I was just wondering if anyone else has found something that i havent tried yet........antihistamines, hydrocortisone cream, aloevera, saltwater, high factor suncream all dont work
And it looks a mess too!

I've only had this once - funny enough, the one time I went on a sun bed, it wasn't nice
I don't think there is a 'cure', everything I've read says basically the same thing, try to avoid sweating, wear loose clothes, preferably cotton, spray yourself with water, etc.
As for treatment, it sounds like you've tried most things, so you have, no doubt, tried the oatmeal baths & clay treatments, although they only help relieve the symptoms.

Re: *****ly heat
NOTHING works.Just wear cotton and keep cool and stay out of the sun as much as possible. As a lifetime sufferer this is all I can offer.I barely get it these days because I stay out of the heat and sunlight as much as possible.I've not found a single cream or oil that helps and in fact I won't wear anything not even sunscreen in case it brings it on.Every flare up I've had in recent years is due to summat greasy I've put on.Mycil foot powder helps if it gets too itchy although calomine lotion is soothing as well.
My husband suffers even more but this is because he is even more sensitive to sunlight than I am(he burns way too easily) BUT he refuses to stay out of the sun so sucks to him..
Oh and invest in a good fan (or air conditioning if you can afford it).
You will also have to accept that your sunbathing days are over. Sorry!

Incog, didn't you used to live in Africa? That must have been a bit of a pain if you suffer from this...

Yes I did.Until I was 7.However I didn't discover I was a pr*ckly heat sufferer until I was in my mid teens. I actually love the sun and the idea of a pink gin on the verandah but it's not for me I'm afraid. It's more like a large iced water under the largest droopy umbrella in the garden.
