I've been shot

Ok, not quite but close

I was walking down my garden path which is a slope, and an air gun pellet narrowly missed me as it hit something close to me.

There were 2 teenagers from next door but one with air guns up on the bank behind their house. I noticed one quickly point his gun down and turn it away. I immediately picked up a convenient length of 3x2 and walked towards them, there seemed to be some panic as they looked at one another. I think they were actually thinking if they should reload or not, and to be honest I was hoping they would take a second shot.

I stopped about 15ft away from them and asked (with a few explitives) if they fancied taking a shot now I was close. They denied shooting at me, I know the one lives there with his aunt and uncle (his father is in prison) the uncle was in his shed and didn't seem keen on coming out.

He eventually came out and I made it quite clear what will happen if there is a repeat, and the uncle sent them down to the house. I told him I had no objection as long as they were not shooting in my direction, and told him I was not interested in reporting the matter.

He has had a run in with me many years ago, and is well aware I was not bluffing.

I told my next door neighbour (living in between) and he said one was pointing the gun at him as he was going down his back steps the other day.

Not sure, I had an airgun when I was a teenager but I guess they are a lot more powerfull these days.

I thought it sounded more like Leeds personally, if it was Liverpool his car would be on bricks.

Crikey that is lucky you didn't get hit.
Guns like that are just waiting to fall into kid's hands and their experimentation can lead to dangerous situations.
In my ideal world no one in a residential area would be allowed to posess or use any guns at all IMO.

Well it was changed a while back. BB Guns are illegal as are imiation guns (as far as i know). I thought they were illegal.

BB Guns are illegal? Crap, i didn't know that. Time to get rid then.

I'm glad you're ok, i've been shot once in the back of the leg from about 100yards away, luckily i had thick trousers on and it was a low powered gun, still stung alot though.

I think they should be illegal actually thinking about it.

They are not illegal so long as you keep them on your private land

Actually Guns and Leeds to have a connection for me!

About five years ago I was in a pub in Leeds on a Wednesday night, apparently someone got shot in there the following night.

I can't remember what area, have a feeling I was staying in Seacroft on that occasion.

Yes, been checking that. The land they are on is either Council or private company (Park Estates) that owns lots of land around here.

No, I think my point was put across elegantly enough. I am very doubtful there will be a repeat.

I said I wouldn't be making any complaints, and I think the uncle would rather take them to task than seeing what happens if I have to go over there a second time..
