mobile phones abroad!
hey,
I have never taken a mobile abroad, and I have never text or phoned anyone abroad, but one of my friends has went away and I know she will take her phone.
Do I have to prefix her number with the country code for her to get the text? or leave it as is, as +447********* ?
the country is cyprus, so if I have to prefix her number, what would it be?

Re: mobile phones abroad!
you don't need to change anything- even 07***** will work
However, if she receives calls she is likely to be charged, and depending on which network/ tarriff she is on, her text messages may be expensive as well... so don't expect too many replies
The costs of calling/ texting to you are the same as if she were in the UK.

Re: mobile phones abroad!
Yeah, like Chris said, be very aware that the person receiving calls when abroad will have to pay the cost of the telco routing the call from the UK to whichever country the person is currently in when they receive the call. It can lead to absolutely huge phone bills!
