Freezer full of ice
When I went to get some food out of my freezer I noticed that the freezer was full of ice and none of the compartments would open. same with my freezer. Have consulted tha manual and the tem, perature gauge was set to "cooler" which I have now set to "off."
I have only ahd a freezer recently so any suggestions as to how I stop my freezer resembling a polar ice-cap?

Re: Freezer full of ice
Yes, the door was fully closed and was moderately full.

Re: Freezer full of ice
I have used a knife on mine before now. But I learnt my lesson and now use the hair dryer on it

defrosting a freezer is one thing those steam cleaners on the shopping channels are good at, much better than a hair dryer, Julie

Re: Freezer full of ice
Spray car de-icer into it and wash it out properly afterwards.
Or throw salt into it.

Re: Freezer full of ice
My understanding is that when you get ice in a freezer there is air getting in. Either your door had not been closed or your seal has worn
