Other than the fact that, if you're only just thinking about it now, you're probably in a bit of trouble, I spent the night before going through the book of sample questions that I had. I got Mrs Nug to test me all evening, so I was pretty much sorted for the test (and got 34 / 35, so that wasn't bad )
Whatever you do, don't do what I did for my first theory, and go out and get drunk tonight - I managed to get 29 (one short of the pass mark), mainly because I was massively hungover, so no drinks for you tonight

Then how about posting complete paragraphs? If you wanted to ask for help from someone you were face-to-face with, would you be quite so rude?

It wasn't meant in a rude context. I apoligise if it offended you, that was not my intention.
My intention was to answer a question which you had asked me. However clearly you had an objection with my answer. Again I sincerely apolgise.

Re: Car Theory Test Advice
Read the questions carefully and take your time.
And don't worry - it's unbelievably easy to pass it.

Re: Car Theory Test Advice
Most people don't have a problem with the questions, it's the hazard perception that gets um...
Don't be affraid to click and click and click again as one of them will have two parts to it.
Just relax and watch the screen and click when you think it's right and not just because you haven't clicked for a while.
Fingers crossed for ya, but it's not a 'gimme' test like it once was and that in my humble opinion is a good thing

Re: Car Theory Test Advice
You should have got yourself atleast the Highway Code book. Costs about £1.50 or the AA Drving test book that has a tonne of questions in it to help you revise.
Often questions are very similar and are common sense.
Just make sure you know the following well.......stoppping and breaking distances, basic things you would check for if you discovered an accident (ABC), road signs, and speed limits.
Most of it is simple so as long as you know your way round streets, pelican crossings, and how to drive a car, you shouldnt have many problems.
The hazard perception bit is where you will be shown 14 video clips. You must click with the mouse each time you see a hazard. eg. a boy running out into the road to pick up his football or a bike cutting into the road.
You will only see the clips once and cant view them again. There will be a practice clip at the start.
Do not try and outdo the system. If you are constantly clicking you will be penalised.
Just click in good time about twice to make sure you've got it registered and thats basically it.
Good luck.

Re: Car Theory Test Advice
OK I did my test 2 weeks ago, here is what I actually learnt before doing it:
Stopping Distances, off by heart, how much extra in rain (double) in icey conditions (up to ten times)
Sign Shapes and what they mean
cant really go wrong otherwise.

Re: Car Theory Test Advice
The key is common sense and following the instructions closely especially in the hazard perception.
If you've been driving for a while most of the actual questions will be second nature and the hazard perception is nothing more than you will have encountered during general driving... but... you do need to click quickly when you see a hazard, and as that develops. As it says really.
Good luck. Passed both first time with practically **** all practice so there you go...
