New style MOT certificate
Hello,
Anyboy here got a new style-MOT certificate? Is there a portion which needs to be displayed on the vehicle windscreen?

Didnt think so.
I got told by my local testing station (just after they issues my MOT as an old cert) that the new MOT papers where irelevent. A record of whats kept on the computer and nothing more.
Thats how if you have a new MOT paper and Insurance papers, you can order road tax on line.... AT LAST!!

There is a portion you can display on your windscren its on the bottom left of the green MOT certificate.. I think more for your benefit than anyone elses...

I got one of the new ones last July, the only important bit is the bar-code on it.
No you do not have to display anything, the system knows if you have a valid cert. this is how the ANR in police cars work.

I've had mine since Jan.
you can even check your details on-line. (just follow the instructions given with the new MOT)
It means the the cops can check imeadiatley if you have a valid MOT.
