I was interested to read this article this morning..Seems things have really not changed, just the size of the problem has got bigger.

There was no mention of pregnancies though which must have been just as much a risk in those pre-pill and pre legalised abortion days.

That's really very interesting, given the amount of them that must have ended-up pregnant - really makes you think how many backstreet abortions there were.

If what ive been told is right, they was sent off to convents etc, and nobody was told of the child, hence so many orphans.
