as one news analyst said :
i dont believe the US should have gone in to iraq and toppled saddam they could have contained him as a US citizen i did not favor bush's move to go in now the US and its allies are under constant threat from terrorism and these bombs that have gone off in turkey could have been prevented and there would be no protests

Re: Terrorist attacks
Probably had a belly full of apologists. Who claim to be equally against terrorism but haven't got a bad word to say about it.

I disagree, the bomb in turkey (or another like it) would have happened anyway. The people we are dealing with are fanaticals. They will always have a grievance untill either we or they are dead. It's the same with the protestors. They will protest. If everything was hunky-dory in the world they would protest against budgies in cages....thats what they do.

yes but the bomb was related to what happend in iraq...his main point was innocent lives would have been saved there would be no 'freindly fire' incidents etc
it is believed the bomb was either from al-qaeda or its 'spin off' groups

So what was the truck being blown up in the basement of the WTC related to?
Or the airliners that were flown into the WTC?
Or the various bombings and killings in saudi arabia which up until recently the saudi authorities have claimed were due to ex pats running booze gangs, what were all those related to?

Re: Terrorist attacks
as i see it whether or not we had gone into iraq again these people would still have carried out these atrocities , you only have to see how they carry on about dying for the greater good , they are fanatical and will not stop , in my opinion you will never see an end to it

'Those' are al Al-Quaeda terrorist bombings that occurred before or shortly after the 9/11 attacks - i.e. it is not possible to blame them on anything the US, the UK or anyone else has done in Afghanistan or Iraq.
It is dangerously naive to think Al Quaeda would leave us all alone if we got out of Iraq and Afghanistan. What we're witnessing here is not just an objection to US foreign policy in the Middle East, it is a fundamental hatred of the Western way of life.
