Re: Britney Baby Blooper

Every car in the US comes with clear, pictoral warnings indicating that rear facing child seats shouldn't be used in the front passenger seat, if it has an airbag. (and that children should always be in the back seat). You can imagine what an airbag would do to her kid. They are extremely powerful, and pack a mean punch (often bruising the chest and ribs, its not a soft pillow like some think).

That kid would have been killed, without a doubt if that airbag went off.

Sorry mate, wasn't directing it at you.

My point wasn't so much that airbags are powerful, but in all American cars produced in the last 5 years (at least), come with clear warnings (by law), so no matter how thick she is, there's no excuse. Here is the warning, and its always integrated onto the front of the sun visor.

Re: Britney Baby Blooper

Why if there was a passenger in the car didn't they sit in the back with the child. Or at the very least have the child on their lap so Ms Spears could drive unincumbered.

Absolutely nuts

Re: Britney Baby Blooper

Britney Spears defends driving photosAssociated PressNEW YORK - Britney Spears defended photographs showing the pop star driving with her infant son on her lap, saying she was dodging the paparazzi.
Several photos published Tuesday showed Spears driving her SUV in Malibu, Calif., with son, Sean Preston, on her lap, rather than strapped into a car seat in the back. Spears said she did it because of a "horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi."
The photos show Spears holding the wheel of the car with one hand, and her 5-month-old baby in the other. A person is shown sitting in the passenger seat next to Spears.
"I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger," Spears said in statement released late Monday.
"I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us," she said. "I love my child and would do anything to protect him."
The agency that snapped the photos, X17, had a different account.
"These pictures were taken in a very peaceful context, in which photographers exhibited no aggressive behavior," the agency said in a statement released to "Access Hollywood." "We believe that the pictures speak for themselves."
Spears gave birth to her son in September. He is her first child with husband of one year, former backup dancer Kevin Federline.

Re: Britney Baby Blooper

If she was that worried about papparazi then why go to a well known coffee shop that is ofted frequented by the rich and famous? Obviously the press hang around the shop and would try to get a photo.
This just shows a distinct lack of care, thought, sensibility and logic on Britneys' behalf. This morning it was pointed out that she had her bodyguard with her but he was sent out of the car on his own to get the coffee at which point obviously it was open day for the photographers. The child was in the back but for some reason she picked her son up and moved him up front with her and then decided it was time to leave.
Two words sums this up
Irresponsible
and
Stupid

Re: Britney Baby Blooper

If she thinks the paparazzi are ferocious then she wants to try an airbag being deployed into her baby's face - that's not a survivable event for a young baby. I'd like to give her some road safety education!
