Men .... are they needed ?
After a recent conversation about Men & Women ... it would appear that Men are no longer required ... for anything.
Women have succeeded in burning their bras, voting, and in todays' world meet Men head on in nearly every aspect of life.
So I ask the question ....
Are Men needed any more ?

they have their uses ......but seriously......
i think men are needed...for example, i think men need to be there to guide and lead a household (old fashioned view i know) and i think kids need a stable man in their life as a role model and as a person they can respect....
women may not need them as much in a financial way, because we are now getting degrees and successful jobs, however we still come across the glass ceiling effect.....
will have a further think about this question tho
but the saying "can't live with them, cant live without them" springs to mind

but would there??? think about a society where there are no men (or maybe they are kept in reproduction farms or something) {i know a bit sci fi here but who cares} don't you think that the hierarchy amongst the women would develop....therefore there are going to be women who take on the role that men would have in a normal society....and therefore these women would start wars......

Point taken, but there are women around now who will be both Father and Mother to their children and will defend their right to do it their way.
Is there a balance that needs to be sought ? Is the old Victorian view out-dated.
Why do Men need to guide ... can't the Women do that ??
/* Why am I defending the Female view

Re: Men .... are they needed ?
In my experience women argue more than men, I think war would still exist, less or more is debatable.
Since most the engineering profession are men the future would likely see no more innovations but more expensive clothes

but regardless, i think that kids need to have a stable male role model, whether the parents are together or not, whether the male role model is a uncle or simply a friend of the mothers....they need to have male guidance.....
why do men need to guide? i guess i am fairly christian in my views there, the man is the head of the household and the women should submit to him......not submition is not a case of blindly following the guy but it is the case that he possibly has the final say.......
and ur defending the womens view because u are playing devils advocate :p

I disagree, and I think a lot of Women would too ... Women can be Leaders (Maggie Thatcher) and be strong and forthright in their views and opinions ... who says the Man has to have the last say ????
