I do think I understand - one of the lasting impressions I have is when, aged 9, I accompanied my parents to live in a bungalow in Kenya.
- the queue of people wanting to be interviewed for possible work in the house or garden went down the road when we first arrived - houses on the estate had 'servants quarters' attached, which was, apparently, just one feature that appealed - armed guards when dad was away overnight may have been another?
But I did get taught which snakes to avoid & saw what a termite queen looks like in her chamber

Having been driven to it by the woeful performance of the Dutch tonight: a glass of old vine tempranillo courtesy of Tesco. Sadly non fair-trade and no snails involved

Feeling a bit down todsya for some reason, can't seem to get motivated. Did just have a really nice tea or roasted veg and chicken with sweet chili and on my 9th becks* :-)
*They are only wee 275ml bottles
