Phonecalls

I'm getting fed up of these phone calls from India asking me if I want a mobile from T mobile? They first ask if a Mr such and such lives at the address? When you say no you have the wrong number they proceed to tell you that your address has been chosen for a free mobile phone from T Mobile. When you ask them for the address that been chosen they go silent, when you tell them your on the TPS they go silent again. I've changed my number because of the sales calls I used to get, when my number changed a few hours later the same sales call came through.

Yesterday I lost my rag with one of them, I told him to get lost and if his company ever phoned this number again I would get in touch with the relevent people.

Re: Phonecalls

I was getting calls about a new 3g phone, my number isn't listed and I've never used it on any sites that sell details. I complained to them and they stopped...... now I get text messages instead. O2 seem to not want too do anything or explain to me how my number and certain contractual details are now in the hands of a seperate company

Re: Phonecalls

Most of these foreign call centres just generate random numbers (that is why they cannot tell you the address). So there is nothing you can do to stop them finding your number.

The company who contacted you about 3 are probably Communications Direct, a Cardiff-based company who are hired by the individual networks to get people to sign up. I have no idea how they get this information but they select the people whose contracts are due to expire within 30 days and will word their approach to make you assume they are from your existing network.
