Wedding Advice please

Ok me and the GF have a little one on the way but would like to get married first. She is willing to wait for the white wedding so we can save for the baby. But we want to get married so a register office wedding would be suitable.

What i am looking for is the cost of this
What would the cost of a nice ring be?
A nice suit and dress for her?

Any advice welcome thanks

As for the ring, you live in a very handy area to get something nice without paying an arm and a leg (we got ours there).

Suits and dresses vary widely so set an upper limit for each (not forgetting shoes and a shirt and tie). Have a look at Boundary Mill (if you can get there) designer stuff for not many pennies.

Good luck and congratulations?

Re: Wedding Advice please

You both need to apply for a marriage licence, think its £35 per person.

You need to do this in advance, it will be posted in the registrars office for 15 days before the licence is provided.
You dont need to go to the registry office, you can get married in many other places most of them nicer than a registry office.

Re: Wedding Advice please

Registry office is fairly reasonable iirc.
The rings are whatever you want to pay.....ours came to £600 (platinum)--the most expensive part of our wedding
(Mandy's dress was only £90 )

Our rings were £150 (each), but I spent £400 on a suit (a very nice if I say so myself ).

The registry office charged around £40, and this was last month, so a fairly recent price.
