Stress - Any tips to calm it?

For the past week I've been getting nauseous after I eat something, I get no pain, I havn't been sick either. After some researching, I think it's led down to the stress I've had over the past year, and it's finnaly affected me.

I'm already trying my best to stay calm when ever possible, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips that I could use to help calm my stress even better.

If this stomach problem doesn't resolve by Monday my mom is taking me down the doctors any way, but I want to see if I can calm my self down to see if it helps or not.

Thanks!

Re: Stress - Any tips to calm it?

Theres a few tips on here;

http://www.ivillage.co.uk/health/hli...546571,00.html

I'd personally suggest having a nice hot bath once a week, lets you gather your thoughts, and affects you for the better biologically. I find a face towel dunkned in the water over the face is very good.

Classical music.

Try some sports, some kind of a way to vent your energy.

Watch comedys.

Try not to let things bother you (though this, I Know, is next to impossible)

The only thing close to that is standing up and getting head rush - which I get very often.

Re: Stress - Any tips to calm it?

Stress is a weird thing it can affect people differently, I was at the risk of redundancy last year, I survived but my mum didn't (during that time I had a shed load of stress), this year I was made redundant and I'm looking for work (and sufering from stress) I personally found that playing games like GTA:SA and shooting and crash in the game helps be get rid of the stress and anger that has affected me.

Not that I'm a voilent person it was/is a release valve.

Try this test http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/tv_and_r...uizindex.shtml

from the beeb and then follow the tips they give.

Other tips

Anything that makes you

Do you like Terry Pratchett's Discworld? I found his books really helped me through a stressful time.
