This is one of the most amazing crashes I have ever seen. How he wassn't killed is down to the car builder and a very very lot of lady luck

it not really too much to do with the car builder. It's a lot more to do with the strict regulations that NASCAR impose on the car specifications. Notice that part of the wall vanished? that cant happen any longer as they now have safer barriers installed which work like a crumple zone, another safety initiative instigated by NASCAR. Also the speeds at Bristol are very low as its a really tight .5 mile circuit.
