Question Talk radio - Reading to Ilfracombe

Evening All...

I have a little trip from Reading (Berks) to Illfracombe to do in the morning - arriving for a 0900 meeting. This is a good 200 miles.

I normally do most of my work around the M25 and listen to LBC on 97.3 FM. Its a talk station (you know the sort of thing - phone ins / debates etc). Can anyone recommend some 'talk' radio stations on route since I know I will loose LBC sometime around Swindon.... I know there is 'Talk Sport' - but I'm not really a sport fan so its not much good for me ...

Its a good three hour drive there and back so I want some interesting stuff to listen to. I'm not intereted in music stations as I can put CD's on ...

thanks for your suggestions!

cheers

Mark

edit: I do not have the new digital radio channels -only FM and medium wave etc ..

Re: Talk radio - Reading to Ilfracombe

not the easiest way but you could record the decent shows off the net or DaB then burn them to cdr

talksports non sports shows are 10am-1pm then 10pm-6am

Re: Talk radio - Reading to Ilfracombe

thanks for suggestions all!!

Did the trip back to back for 1.5 hour meeting (I must be mad)!

A combination of Radio 2 and 4 did the trick. At 34 I feel I must be getting old but I really enjoyed both of these stations. It must be at least 25 years since I have heard the 'pips' at 0800 in the morning!

cheers

Mark
