Just seen this on the BBC front page:

Private letters of Practical Cats creator fetch thousands

Now, that means T.S. Eliot, to me, one of the 20th century's greatest poets. But apparently 'The Waste Land'* isn't as important as the book that inspired Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical 'Cats'.

For that matter, what's wrong with 'Private letters of T. S. Eliot fetch thousands'? Do they think we haven't heard of him? Bah, Humbug.

Sad I know, but so much is aimed at a reading age of 12. There will be those who will question why Mr Webbers letters are for sale.
