Go have a cold shower? Stop looking at them as objects and try to get to know their personalities?

Well in my meaner days i'd say an aerosol can and a match - but that's very dangerous and stupid

Re: daddy-longlegs/cranefly
Around this way there's a noticable lack of them this year - I've only seen 3 so far this year (normally it'd be half a dozen every night).
There's also been an almost total lack of wasps too - I don't think I've actually seen one all summer.

Find your nearest airsoft shop.
Buy the following:
M203 grenade launcher
165 rnd shower shell
Can of green gas (propane)
Charge the shower shell with green gas and load it into the M203.
Aim at offending insect and pull trigger.
Works well with flies as they don't see it coming.

No insects were harmed in the making of this video

I've noticed that too!
Think I've only seen 1 wasp

Re: daddy-longlegs/cranefly
I have only really seen one wasp, and all 'it' was concerned with, was shredding an old wooden bench of a few fibres to chew up & make a nest, somewhere .....
we get too many starlings for crane flies to be a problem - the birds eat the 'leather jackets' i.e. crane fly larvae

Re: daddy-longlegs/cranefly
Had millions of them this year. I'm getting quite adept at killing them.
