ears - not for the faint hearted
Does anyone know anything about ears and throats?
I have an odd question.
I ate a sweet earlier that was bright pink. Then I cleaned my ears with cotton wool buds and the cotton wool came out exactly the same shade of pink.
How did the colouring get from my mouth to my ears? Am I to expect other foods I have eaten to start appearing in my ears?
Any advice/information would be appreciated.

Re: ears - not for the faint hearted
you should mention it to your GP - while it is possible the colour became absorbed in your blood or lymphatic circulations, any 'unusual' discharge from the ear should be checked out, in my (not medically qualified) opinion, that is

Re: ears - not for the faint hearted
Your throat and ears are actually linked, this is why sucking a sweet on an aeroplane helps equalise the pressure in them.

Thanks for the advice. But I think the fact that it was flourescent pink as was the sweet is too much of a coincidence to be anything serious.
I just find it odd!

It also links to your eyes too (which is how most people catch colds/flu) hence why you get these people who can spray milk from their eyes after taking a mouthful, pinching their nose and blowing!

Then again.......the inner and outer ear are seperated by the tympanic membrane so the dye shouldn't be able to get through...........
