MOT Test
Hi All, A friend of mine owns a 2002 Clio which the dealer told her that before the end of this year(2005), it will need to get MOT'd. I always thought that new cars has 4 years on them before they get MOT'd.
Can any light be shed on this?

Re: MOT Test
New cars are exempt from needing an MOT for 3 years from new, that's what my parents were told when they bought a brand new car last year.

Re: MOT Test
Tis only 3 years, you will need one to "commence" the fourth year.

It is in South Africa ...lol called a road worthy and you only get it done once as long as you own the car of course if you sell the car on then the new owner must get a road worthy cert of their own, just thought I'd mention it
