Upvc window help

Hi,

Tried every search term I can think but I can't find what I'm looking for.

Basically our double glazing windows have self adhesive strips that are fitted top to bottom on the window one inside and one outside to create the effect of splitting the pane of glass in 2.

Some of the strips are coming loose and falling off, I was after either replace strips or spa suitable glue to stick them back on.

Anyone with any ideas.

Or is the above gibberish

Thanks

J

Re: Upvc window help

Thanks not quite what I'm after, it's not lead trim but white upvc about an inch wide to match the window.

Not gibberish at all ,i know exactly what you mean ,they are called astrigal bars and i've put thousands on windows over the years .All you need to do is to pull of the bars that are falling off clean of the tape and go to any local double glazing company and ask them for a roll of the double sided tape.Your bars will either be 15mm or 25mm make sure you get the correct width and make sure it is the 1mm thick tape .The company you go to may have to order it in or they will tell you where you can order it or you could just order from here

no probs glad to help ,do make sure that when you put the bars back on the window that the glass has been thoroughly cleaned and dried .Use a solvent based solution(careful not to get too much on the plastic window) to remove any old tape and the glue residue then wash of with plenty of Ciff in warm water followed by clean warm water and dry with lint free paper towel not cloths or if sunny allow to dry naturally
