My dads Mazda Sat nav system

Hi all, my dad, has the following sat nav in his Mazda:

http://download.tomtom.com/open/manu..._Manual_EN.pdf , and he has somehow disabled the voice system, so that the sat nav no longer reads aloud the directions. I have tried resetting it to factory settings, but it doesn't help.

Any ideas?

Volume doesn't seem to be an issue as its the same volume used for the radio, unless i have missed something. It says its all enabled in the preferences, but the problem remains

Has the voice in use been deleted?? Also try the mute button and voice guidance (on/off) option (both on page 47 of the manual)

Thanks Kymmy, All fixed, mucked about with the voice guidance and the voice selections, and it appears to be working again
