shop direct
Well I raised action after advised by financial ombusman that shop direct has broke the rules.
1. Allowed me 6 catalogues within 20 mins and £7500 credit limit.
2. Didn't explain about purchase interest, I explained I have autism but they said it was up to me to understand.
3. I went into a debt arrangement scheme and was paying them.
4. Despite payments they kept harassing me daily.
5. Then because money advisor was on holiday for 2 days they slithery sold on debt to lowells.
6. Then financial ombusman found out that they been severely damaging my credit file and they have been told not to contact me about payment bills and the £7500 outstanding because i not missed payments, as everything has to go through my money advisor,
What may happen

FInancial ombudsman investigate shop direct
Well I put a complaint into financial ombudsman over issues how they handled my debt management plan, destroy my credit file, allowed 8 contracts in 24 hours, harassed me against debt arrangement scheme rules and sold debts without asking after agreeing to das. Then the business file was requested on 2nd April and after 6 weeks claiming still
Busy then today after 7 weeks still to busy and deadline is in a week does it seem even after extension they are hiding

Re: shop direct
Andrew, you could try contacting the CAB, if you haven't already done so:

Good luck and keep us informed, Jem.

Hi jem well the ombusman is only giving them a week more but what I wonder is why shop direct are not trying to prove I'm guilty and they are innocent by sending the business file

Re: shop direct
I'm not a legal expert Andrew. You need to go back to your legal advisors and ask them what your options are. Just let us know what happens. We don't want to hear bad news so speak to your experts as soon as possible. Good luck.

Re: shop direct
I agree with the advice given by jempalmer they do seem to have broken a number of rules andrew and your adviser should be tackling them, as well as the ombudsman who already seems to be involved in your case.
A moot point really but whatever did you spend £7,500 on through catalogues, i really hope you have taken all this in and and realise credit account catalogues may not be for you in the future.! Good luck with your case though i hope it goes well for you.

Thats good andrew sounds like you are doing the right things mate, now that the ombudsman is involved and you have an adviser they are the ones to help you as they are already involved, i take it you adviser is keeping in touch with everybody ,and is contacting Lowells to ask them to put a hold on any action as your case is with the ombudsman.
It sounds like shop direct cannot defend their actions as they have not produced much paperwork as of yet.
As i said before good luck andrew let us all know how you are getting on.
