Bamboo Troubles
My Neighbor has some bamboo growing in her border of the back garden, and its growing through into our garden, so much so that its popping up in the middle of our garden, 8 ft away from the fence.
My Neighbor has tried industrial strength stuff to try and get rid of it, but i was wondering if anyone knew of an effective way to kill this stuff off?

Re: Bamboo Troubles
The roots tend to run just below the surface, so if your neighbour won't chop them back on his side, just dig down about a foot on your side and hack away. A barrier underground should stop it in the future.
They can cause as much hassle as leylandii (spit).
The best chemical way to kill it is now illegal (thanks for that bleedin' EU beaurocrats).

Re: Bamboo Troubles
Depends also on which bamboo it is. It's obviously a runner (as opposed to a clumper) but you really want to know what it's called......then you can go about killing it.
