The concession rate is £25 here but I don't qualify.
Anyway I just bought a new Hoover today to make sure the carpet is also really nice too.
All I need is an apron / marigolds and I'd be complete I think

You should have rung your local charity such as the PDSA or British Heart foundation because they have stores that sell 2nd hand furniture and will pick up for free, most areas have something similar in place.

Unusual as many charities do this nowadays, the other option would be Freecycle.

They wouldn't take it as there is no longer a fire tag on it apparently.
As for freecycle we did find someone who wanted it, but then they didn't show up. By this time the new one was due so we had to get the old one outside.
All in all a bit of a disaster, still the new one should be here soon enough

A lot of older furniture will not have a fire tag on them so they were being rather over zealous.

Not really. It is illegal for them to sell it without that information. Only private individuals can sell it without a fire information label.

Oh poor you, casts are bad enough without having to have one in this heat. How long do you think you will need it this time?

Trying to convert 32bit IEEE 754 binary floating point numbers from the debugger to decimal so I can work out why my function's not doing what I want it to. I have to do it long hand and then use my scientific calculator to convert the hex to decimal. Grrr
