Got my laser eye surgery on Thursday. To say I'm bricking it is an understatement.

Good luck with that, Russ.
I know a few people who have had it done, and it has been fine for them.

An old (nervous) friend had it done last week and she didn't feel a thing. Now she is walking around wearing sunglasses as everything is so bright! A big strapping lad like you Russ you'll walk it!

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Cheers guys. My cataract removal was bad enough as they had to actually go inside my eye for that, with only local anaesthetic. For some reason this sounds worse to me.

I always found the laser stuff they did to my eyes much easier than the ops I had.
Mind you the last op involved some very icky stuff.
As for cataracts I guess I'm lucky as I have to be put out wheni have mine done

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Just the thought of eye surgery makes me feel yucky. My mother's had both eyes done for cataracts and now for the first time she can see clearly (distance) without glasses since she was a teenager.
Hope it goes well for you Russ.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
I had the one cataract out 4 years ago, although it was unpleasant (I could feel the surgeon pulling the lens from inside my eye) the effects were awesome, it was like going from standard to hi-def tv.
Problem is now, the cloudiness on my original lens which caused the cataract has returned on the artificial one they replaced it with, so instead of repeating the operation I had previously, they're doing the laser surgery.
I need it because the vision in my right eye is awful, it's like looking through a camera when someone has smeared grease over the lens.

Know what you mean Russ.I've got the same problem.
Anyway my complaint is AXA who can't seem to realise that yes I'm dropping my previous car insurance with them but have taken up/negotiated a NEWER,cheaper car insurance policy with ..AXA.
They are now demanding proof of no claims discount and I wonder why I have to notify them yet again?

Good luck Russ I am sure everything will be fine. My friend, the well known local wimp and self acknowledged coward, even surprised himself by breezing through the procedure. If he can get through it then you are a shoo-in.

Do not get me started on Car Insurance Companies. It is the one subject guaranteed to get my hackles up and start me growling.
