So how's everybodies year been ?
It's that time of year again ,we are in the final week of 2011 and i just wondered how the year has treated everybody financially or otherwise,has it been worse than expected ,better than expected or about the same as the last few years ?
For me it's not been too bad,certainly not as bad as i expected it to be .Work has been nothing exiting but steady ,no time off due to lack of work as with last year and December was particularly busy as the council contracts needed completing before Jan 1st .There is plenty of work in the system for next year which is surprising but I'm going to knock it .I have managed to have a debt free Christmas which is a big bonus .

Overall quite good. A few ups and downs but overall I'm quite happy going forward.

Not great but not too bad. We are surviving..and at least we haven't a job loss unlike some this past week.. 
You know who you are and I hope 2012 is a better year..

About the same as 2010  . I progressed little. Living in autopilot. Job still there - it's quite dependent on the economy though so nothing's completely safe.

I survived working shifts and working atleast 2 weekends a month for overtime monies, but it is a job and pays the bills so i shouldn't moan.

Cracking year work wise for me. Promotion in April gave me around a 33% wage increase. An 'employee of the year' bonus in August of £5000 and I start 2012 with another 4% increase on my wage.
Last week we got a new kitchen/dinning room complete (3 years in the making) so a huge weight off my shoulders.
Focus for 2012 is going to be on our health. To try and get our bodies and minds both feeling good.

Not to bad even with the prospect of redundancy looming over my head, been there before and this time have little in the way of monetary worries as my mortgage has around 10 months left to run and paying it has not been an issue for many a year.

I was hoping to have turned a corner with my health and all, but ended up in hospital again yesterday - more or less exactly a year from the last time I got admitted and for the same bloody thing.
BUT
My year saw me getting married to my perfect wife so I still say its been a good one and I get to /see/ her before things get too bad so what else can I ask for.

Health wise my year has been, to quote previous posts, interesting but I'm still here. Forced me to retire, which I said I would never do, but other avenues open and I am happy so that's OK with me.
We also acquired Riley the Magnificent Mog and he has been a joy, so all in all our year has been a lot better than we expected.
