Re: Renault axing UK models
My local Renault dealer closed recently along with the whole group. So it looks like their sales have been suffering for a while.

Re: Renault axing UK models
The problems they had with the Clio and their bonnets flying open, you'd have thought that one've been the first scrapped

Re: Renault axing UK models
Might have something to do with making the cars pig ugly both at the front and especally at the back.
Mind you the ugliest car award this year has one outstanding candidate:

I am amazed at how many you see on the road as they are dog ugly and considering the price they go for as per the tag in the windscreeen you wonder why people would even consider buying one.

Woman neighbour has just got one so I get to see how ugly it is in closeup. (Very) Mind you she was driving a Ka, not so much ugly as just wacky, so I guess her and good taste are distant relatives.

Re: Renault axing UK models
Do bear in mind that these cars look better from the inside - particularly the lime green ones.

Re: Renault axing UK models
This is a good contender for the ugly car award you could seat 6 people around its boot lid.

Re: Renault axing UK models
Depriving us of their cars?? Is this payback for our Euro stance I wonder?
Seriously, it's a move designed to save Renault money and improve profitability but judging by what I've read about the poor reliability of many of their cars over the years, it'll probably save a lot of motorists some money too.

There's 3 less cars for the AA to worry about. Good riddance and take the rest of your junk with you when you get a chance.
