Smoking marijuana every day

So i have a friend whos been smoking Marijuana (weed) everyday for the last 6 months, every single day and a lot of it, when i tell him to stop or cut down he tells me im acting like a woman or im ruining his happiness while high.

To be honest at first i was not that worried, but now im quite worried as its been 6 months, now i dont want to be a hypocrite because i did smoke also, on 2 occasions since January 2011 which i dont class as bad to be honest, but when i tell him to stop, he says "you smoked too" and all other load of rubbish.

Now for the last 2 months of this 6 months he's been living with someone who also has smoked every single day with him in the last 2 months, now coz they both smoke together he thinks this guy is his best friend now and thinks im against him and ruining it for him.

Lately he's started to get quite paranoid and a bit violent and he's been extremely forgetful for months.

Now i dont know what to do, i've tried having talks with him to slowly cut down but he gets angry and tells me to shut up. Im not telling him to quit i even told him do 1 or 2 times per week if you with, but everyday is unacceptable...

well my question is what can i do to help him reduce, i've threatened to call his mum, but deep down he knows i would never do that so he just ignores it and continues.

Interesting that you mention paranoia/violence, my brother is exactly the same, he's been smoking it on and off for quite some years.

We don't speak anymore, but I noticed overtime, he became more and more angry/paranoid.

As for your friend, he's an adult, it's upto him at the end of the day, you've said what you had to say, if he doesnt' change, well, that's his problem, not yours.

There's only so much you can do.

It seems you've cared enough to stick around for so long, so if he can't see what he is doing wrong after you've took action then I think you should just walk away from the situation with the fact that you've tried to help ridding any burdens.

With the price of it now you have to ask where does he get the money for it or does he grow his own? Modern Skunk weed is all Psychotic all THC the CBD which is an Anti psychotic has been bred out of it. Anyone susceptible to psycosis can become effected due to the strength

Years ago normal weed ie Thai grass and Sensi had a very calming effect without the adverse effect todays strong skunk has

I'd back off and leave him alone but I would say to him that you will leave him alone but that you still want to be friends and that he can always find you when he's ready to stop.
That you will support him but that you don't want to be part of that lifestyle and that when he wants to stop you will support him.

What else you can do I'm not sure.I'm thinking that his family might need to know what's happening because there could be a lot of grief coming their way.They may not like the fact that you knew and said nothing to them.

Basically what you need to do is to be a friend in ways that your friend may not like.You may lose your friend....if you haven't already lost him.

What he said - in pursuit of a better high they've merrily bred out the CBD which had the familiar calming effect leaving psychosis and paranoia to reign.

His reaction is in no way surprising, he likely won't be interested in anything you have to say as he's psychologically addicted to the weed and paranoid over your motives.

can I ask whether this/these people are young? and what his lifestyles like?

listen mate to be brutally honest if he doesn't acknowledge the wake up call which he'll get at some point if he hasn't already theres no point stressing over it. only he will be able to stop, set his mind correctly. don't bang on at him about the bad affects anything that will corner him. try get him into body building

It occurs to me that a paranoid and possibly violent weightlifter may not be the best mix...

An old friend of mine started on the weed. I remember the last time I saw him, a group of us had arranged to go out (it was a rare occasion when the whole group were free) and do something fun.

We ended up in a car, driving round the back streets of Croydon looking for a dealer who my friend was supposed to pick up some weed from. We did this for over two hours and eventually all went home.

While in the car, I attempted a discussion with my friend about his addiction and how bad I thought it was. His conclusion? That I was under the control of the Government (he'd known me for years and knew I most certainly was not under the control of the Government) and that the laws on drug control and classification were just part of some huge conspiracy dedicated to stopping him (personally) having fun. As if, putting it rather politely, anyone in the Government gave a flying fig about him, whether he was having fun or not.

Zee, unfortunately, in this case, I think the only thing you can do is back off, let him do whatever he is going to do, then if he gets in a bad way and asks for help try and be there for him. It's not easy to do that, as a friend, but if you try and force him to do something, you may lose him as a friend, in which case, you'll be able to do nothing,

running wont motivate him. body building should. protein, gainer etc. will aid him bulk

To buy its not too expensive, especially when you have been a customer from these druggies for long time, they give a bit extra for the price.

I guess i'll have one more talk tomorrow with him, otherwise i'll do what Maggy said

yeah dealers are your best friends when they have a steady income. they can also trap people putting unnecessary crap ontop of the 'product' and no I don't mean some form of weight gainer.

another thing to be wary of is the chances of him moving onto other drugs which will spell disaster. cannabis does enough damage as it is.

I used to smoke a Ounce over a weekend and the slow down during the week (till pay-day Friday) Along with copious amounts of other stuff over the weekend. When I was not working? Then when I met My partner I was still the same, But there was a sting in the tail?

When she announced that she was pregnant I stopped all the drugs the same day she told me. I have never touched any substances since that day (nearly 10 years ago).

Your mate might need this to happen to him as I had no intention to listen to anyone at the point I was at.
