One important thing (stating the obvious).
Wear a suit, make sure the shoes are polished, and don't wear any dodgy jewellery (One muppet wore a cannibis necklace).

Re: Job Interview At Asda
To follow on Hom3r's good advice.
Clean shirt, top button done up, with a tie (not jokey or psychedelic)
Shave beforehand
Fresh breath / shower beforehand
Don't chew gum during interview or smell of smoke
Good luck.

Re: Job Interview At Asda
Asda Magic is a group interview. They give you some info on the company, split you into smaller groups to work on a task together, give you a tour of the store and a short one on one interview. Advice is look good, smile alot and try to take the lead when working on the group task.

How are you at being a tree?
and don't be the quiet one in the group task. be the one in charge.

Good luck and just enjoy the experience as it will be different to most other interviews and importantly wear a suit and tie and be freshly shaven and showered, join in with everything but do not be overbearing as it be a negative aspect.

Re: Job Interview At Asda
thanks. Ive got a short sleeve shirt a tie and black trousers and black shoes all ready for the interview.
Ive just been reading the e-mail again they sent me and it saids
(As the selection event is practical, please dress appropriately for the event, something smart but casual would be perfect (no trainers please). You want to make the right impression but obviously you’ll be getting involved on the shop floor so nothing too formal)
do you think what i picked will be fine?

Similar to what I had on for my interview at asda and I worked there for 5 1/2 years so it was fine then. Unless its changed a lot you wont really go on the shop floor but theres lots of group and solo activities not unlike a drama club so keep that in mind.

If you have to shake hands, make sure that it's firm and your hand is dry. Nothing worse than shaking hands with a wet fish. First impressions count.
Best of luck.

All the best with the interview WWE. Your outfit sounds fine to me. Be ready to remove that tie if appropriate during the process.

Seems overrated to wear a suit, you should see some of the staff at my local Tesco's Express, they shirts are half unbuttoned, they have multi colour, bright hair, gold chains around their necks, for a moment I thought I'd walked into redneck walmart.
I forget how many times I've gone in there and at least one of them is texting or chatting to their "mates" on their mobile phone

Re: Job Interview At Asda
Remember there is no word "I" in team. I know it's obvious but needs stating.
