Swapping a car stereo
I currently have a 1.3 2001 Fiesta. I had a Kenwood head unit, and active sub and a pair of 6x9's.
This Sunday I will be buying a 2002 Fiesta Zetec s. Its the same shape just the sporty version. I want to swap everything over to the new car. I asked a few places and got quoted from £120-£175 so would rather a go myself.
The car I am buying already has an after market Sony Head unit in it.
Would the Sony have a standard ISO plug on it or do they have there own as they generally do on most their other products.
I am confident enough fitting all the wiring myself just unsure about the ISO plug.
Thanks for any help

Re: Swapping a car stereo
Most stereos these days have ISO connectors. Some need converters which you can pick up in Halfrauds or online.

Re: Swapping a car stereo
In theory it should be just a straight swap.

Re: Swapping a car stereo
Have a look in your Thompsons Directory / Yellow Pages, you might find a cheaper on in there if things aren't so straight forward.
