False Breach Of Contract
I recently had a phone call from my ISP (talk Talk), asking me if i wanted to renew the contract with them for a further 12 months. I said i didnt want to because there broadband was rubbish. The woman wouldnt give up so I asked her to send me the details of the contract so i could go over it, basically i wanted to buy myself some time to change ISP.
Talk Talk sent me an E-mail with the contract, and I replied to The E-mail saying "I don't want to renew".
Shortly afterwards I received a phone call from a robot saying "Thank you for renewing your contract with Talk Talk"
I rang them up and told them I sent an e-mail, and I didnt want the contract renewing, and they renewed it anyway. The bloke said my last bill would be in september, and low and behold they sent one today with an outstanding balance of £145, of which 95% of this is cancellation fee for breach of contract.
My question is this...........
Who do I contact outside of Talk Talk to resolve this? Everytime I ring Talk Talk I end up in India speaking to someone who has no Idea what, or Who I am, Or What I'm Talking About.
I have no intention of Paying this bill, but i dont want it to affect my credit status by ignoring them.
any help grately appreciated.

We once had a run-in with Tiscali - now part of TaklTak / Carphone CrapHouse. You have my sympathy...
