Thanks mate it helped a ton! How did you get through the days until you got the call/mail? I'm a bloody wreck ha ha although I'm sure the last time I applied I heard I wasn't successfull the following day.....
Still can't shake the feeling that I should have said more and I keep thinking about things I could have said but I suppose everyone is the same!

Well just had the call…………………I was offered a post! I am so happy, I am literally shaking with excitement ha ha.
It was my third time applying so now I actually believe the saying "third time lucky"

Thanks, now comes the hard part……learning a new job from scratch!! after 16 years in my last job it will be a bit of a shock!! I can't wait though

I'm a newbie to this forum and looking for an answer to the question below but not too sure where to post. Any help

"I have just been offered a job by VM as an access field technician, after completing the asesment and interview. I have been told the training wil be in Birmingham, but don't know the length of time"

Any ideas

Well after a long wait, it's my first day tomorrow and I'm nervous as hell (I actually feel a little sick lol!)

Had a phone interview for this position up north last week, seemed to be just the 1 as she said if i had been successful i'd be invited to an "open day" which i assume is the assessment.

How long did you guys usually have to wait? She did say it could be a few weeks, but i've not heard anything yet, don't know if that's a good / bad thing or i'm just being impatient!

Hi,

They told me that I would hear within two working weeks but I had to phone a week after that. They stated that they had heard nothing which I felt uncomfortable about.

Two days later I was invited to an assessment/ interview for the following week. Two days after that I was offered the job.

So don't panic just yet....
