taking stress leave....advice?

hey guys
my managers at work have decided to remove me from my post and are going to change my role. i was only given 2 weeks notice and i am not happy about it as i don't know what my new role is yet and whether i will want to accept it etc and its really stressing me out....i'm unable to go sleep and i am constantly thinking about this. i already have high blood pressure and i was wondering if i go to my Doctors and take some stress leave? it may help...

how much stress leave can i take? does the doctor recommend the length?

thanks in advance

Re: taking stress leave....advice?

It's judged under the same rules as medical leave. So whatever your contract states along with what the doctor thinks you need.

have you tried talking to your managers and asking what the new role will be ?.Going on sick leave and using stress as the reason is always a bit iffy as other workers/managers may see it as a bit of a skive and even if it is accepted that stress is the cause it may cast doubts on your ability to do the job

hope it works out anyway
