New Neighbours...
Hi,
We've had some new neighbours move in across the road - yeah I know - not exactly neighboursbut you get the point.
They've been in for about a week now. For about 5 of those nights their car alarm has gone off - once at various times ranging from 3.30am to 8am.
Any advice how to deal with that seeing as we don't know them!
Quiet word at the door or a quick note through the door?

They may be aware of an issue, or perhaps the car has been left and they are away? Either way a quick knock on the door is the polite way of dealing with it as notes can cause more offence. Persistent issues can be reported to the council's environmental health.

Face to face always goes down better than a note, they may not read a note in the same context /mood that it has been written, something humorous may come across sarcastic or just down right rude for example.
Smile and no head-buts..

OK - no worries...
If it happens again perhaps I'll go and knock - I'm sure the rest of the road are not too happy about it either.

Re: New Neighbours...
The question is why is the alarm going off?
A fault, or kids?

I think it's a fault - don't think it's kids....not at 3.30am!

Re: New Neighbours...
Face to face is the way to go I'd say. Of course if that doesn't work there are other options.
Quite surprised that they haven't done something about it already if they are having to up most nights to sort it.

I bet it's a Vauxhall. if it is you need to nip it in the bud before they get worse

It could be a alarm clock for them. They may have a new child and need to wake up at a certain time? If not I would go with your option?
