Low rumble from car sub

Tonight I was cleaning my garage out and had my stereo on. It was all fine. Then suddenly there was a low rumble coming from the sub. Took out all the wires and put them back in and still the rumble.

I took the head unit out and all the wires seem ok and so are the fuses. But I noticed when I remove a blue wire. Says Ant Cont on the back of the head unit but Remote on the sub the rumbling stops.

The sub has a built in amp.

What is it. what does it do. can't you leave it in the house?

the ANT is a remote aerial.

Sorry i mis fired my brain and thought it was Ant Cont its actually P.cont

P. Cont is the "remote on" wire that turns the amp on when the stereo is turned on

Could it be mains interference? It it still there when the car's some distance from any mains electrics?

When you remove the remote on wire the rumbling will stop because the amp and hence the sub will be off!

Check for any perferations around the speaker

Its been sent off for repair now as it is still under warranty.
