Re: Man-Up Forklift Driving Law
As long as you get breaks then they can ask you to work 11 hours iirc.....I could be wrong but I used to do 12-14 hour shifts at McD's (with breaks) and it was legal (and I wanted to--needed the money)

Re: Man-Up Forklift Driving Law
What you need to do is look up 'working time regulations'.
Nothing to stop you working 11 or 12 working day, but you must have a minimum time away from work before next working period.
There is a minimum time period set down for breaks, nothing laid down about using the type of fork truck you describe for long periods.
So if you work a 11 hr day less break time, you could be doing as yourself said.

11 hours per day x 5 days = 55 hours per week
You cannot work more than 48 hours per week, unless you "opt out". Have you?

With the caveat that it is averaged over 17 weeks.
