Hi,
Can anybody here point me in the direction of a website which gives details of manufacturing / costs to pharmacy of drugs and medicines?
Thanks

Re: Drug Cost
I'm not sure there is a comprehensive free one.
The best is MIMS but you have to subsribe to the paper version at £140 p.a. if you want access...

Re: Drug Cost
BNF (bnf.org) has pricing information. You have to register, but it is free. Here is an example:
Quote:
Diamorphine (Non-proprietary)
Tablets, diamorphine hydrochloride 10 mg, net price 100-tab pack = £16.42.
Injection, powder for reconstitution, diamorphine hydrochloride, net price 5-mg amp = £2.57, 10-mg amp = £3.59, 30-mg amp = £3.82, 100-mg amp = £9.34, 500-mg amp = £42.07

Generic Xanax is actually quite cheap:
Quote:
Alprazolam (Non-proprietary)
Tablets, alprazolam 250 micrograms, net price 60-tab pack = £2.97; 500 micrograms, 60-tab pack = £5.69. Brands include Xanax®

Interesting. That article suggests that the cheapest drugs in the USA can be found in Costco. For example:

Re: Drug Cost
I dont know about actual cost but when we got stuck in Spain last year for an extra week we had to go the the chemist to get my wife's medication 6x boxes of different tabs, we got 1 months supply (same as what she gets in the UK) cost in spain 13 euro, cost in the UK £43.
