Rude Technician
Talk about a rude technician with Virgin.
I was drinking in the Local Gaybar today and there were 2 engineers fixing problems with the installation on the flats above that was only carried out last Monday and left with no internet.
Anyway one of the engineers had to come into the pub for the bar staff to sign something and he looked at us as if we were dirt and i asked if a certain engineer was back in work who i know and is off ill and he looked at me really weirdly and said in an abrupt mannor NO! and turned his back and walked out.
a few people passed comment on it!

Re: Rude Technician
And what exactly has this to do with anything with regards to an installation because for one it was not at your property and for two he answered your question, but in a way that you thought was wrong, that may have just been his way of talking.
A none issue and a pointless waste of a thread, you would be better off removing the chip from your shoulder.

Re: Rude Technician
striking up a conversation with an installer in a gay bar, and he was rude.....I get the feeling you don't take rejection too well.

Yep - maninuniformpickupfail.
Seriously, this is not an installation issue.

I have to agree with you that this is in the wrong area of the forum. Do we have a dating thread we can put it in

Re: Rude Technician
You ever thought that asking about another technician whilst in a gay bar might not have been appropriate?? For all you know malicious rumours might now be going round about his sexuality..
If you want to know about a tech who's off ill then ask the tech in question, even if the other tech knew it's not for him to give you an answer

Re: Rude Technician
So a guy walks into a bar with Virgin on his top and you were the only one to approach him?

Sounds more like he was uncomfortable being asked that question, rather than being rude.

I was going to post, but you've said everything I wanted to.
Actually, there is something else I wanted to say.
The technician possibly sounded rude, but it may be that he was just surprised. I personally wouldn't expect to walk into a bar (gay or straight) and be asked about one of my work colleagues.
If I was, I'd probably either deny knowledge of them, or say "No" like he did. Why? Partly because I feel it would be inapproriate, and partly because I don't know you.
