Greasy Car Windscreen?
If your having a problem "squinting" when driving at night, with the glare of oncoming headlights & a greasy windscreen, try this:
"Marvel household cleaning paste" from the "betterware" catalog. Cost, 99p. Also known as "Astonish" I believe.
It does not damage your screen, it just removes all the grease & leaves it like new.

Re: Greasy Car Windscreen??
alternatively stick a bit of vinegar in your screenwash or wash your windscreen with it it acts as a degreaser

Re: Greasy Car Windscreen??
I not only worry that these products damage the screen, but also what they do to the rubber seals.

Solution = dont get it on your paintwork
Vinegar can damage rubber seals when used alot, but I usually put it on the cloth, not directly on the screen.

Re: Greasy Car Windscreen?
I usually put it on newspaper. a good screenwash is good for winter. a lot of people just use plain water which is no good.

Re: Greasy Car Windscreen?
I find the [Mod Edit] do an excellent job, for very little monetary reward too.
Joke

Re: Greasy Car Windscreen?
That's a bit unfair (even though I know it was a joke) - Please remember that google picks up on individual posts...not a very nice term to use for those people that can't help who/how they are when they're born.
I'm not having a go at u pabscars (you probably don't care anyway) but surely there was a nicer way you could've put that

Aye if you then (when using your wipers) want to know what a donkey with a strangulated hernia sounds like!
Daft as it sounds, you can have a windscreen that is too clean, I.e. where the wipers (due to excessive friction) can then start dragging across the glass.
Usually a bit of vinegar wiped on the on the blades is sufficient.
Worth a mention though!

Re: Greasy Car Windscreen?
It's the crud on the inside of the windscreen I find more of a bother.
