Pensions and moving abroad
Hi,
I do plan to take financial advice but thought I'd ask on here in case anyone had gone through this before.
I'm planning to move permanently to another commonwealth country.
I currently have a pension plan provided by my employer. This plan has a current value of around £8k.
As far as I’m aware it is not possible to cash in a pension if you are under 50 are there any exceptions to for people emigrating or would I need somehow to transfer this over to a fund in my new country of residence?
Thanks
