CCTV options

I'm trying to help a friend looking at getting cctv ,minimum 2 cameras and a DVR with Network access.
I saw this one on Maplins ,

Still not too sure what price range a reasonable system should be and are there any other sites I could look at.
Night vision would be needed ,most run in black and white at night as afar as I know.
This one looks ok aswell.

Re: CCTV options

You need to find out how far your friends needs to see in night vision, the rating for the second one is only 15 M in night vision, plus both of those systems you have linked are B grade systems which normally means that a customer has brought them back and they are re-selling them.
I work for an access control company and the CCTV we swear by is Bosch camera's and DVR but you're looking at about £3000 - £4000 for a full system which is probably way out of your price range lol

Try this one from maplin, has 20m night vision

If it for use in a business it might be worth having a word with his insurance company, there might be a reduction in premium if a specific type of system is purchased.
