My Gundam models
As a follow on from the happy thought thread, here's some pix of my Gundam models. I'll have to put them up in several bites due to attach limits. Big pix!

Yes Mom.
The models just clip together, no glue needed. The Japanese attention to detail is evident. Mind you as the geniune kits these also have all the instructions in Japanese as well. Slows down construction a bit.

Re: My Gundam models
They remind me of the Transformers my son used to collect. I think I would enjoy making something like that up from a kit. Lots of fiddly bits and pieces and then the enjoyment of customising the finished model.

Re: My Gundam models
They're quite intricate as the models have the same articulation that the animé shows in the "real" Gundam. Even the hands have separate fingers so that they can grip the various weapons.
Takes me about 3 days to build one, after cutting the component off the frame you need to carefully trim off any flash with a sharp scalpel before assembley. It's a nice change from doing things on a PC.

I'm in to 1/35th Military & 1/24th cars (lux models mainly), I also am building the 1/32nd F-14 Tomcat, AH-64 Apache & Puma chopper.
I'm still building 3 mini's that will be painted Red, White & Blue from the first Italian Job, The Lamborghini Miura, an E-Type (need 2), all cars will be painted using real car paint.
I also have several 1/25th scale card from TV shows, A-Team van, KITT, General Lee and several others that I cannot thing of right now

Re: My Gundam models
heero - since you are into mecha, you may want to check out a movie called 'returner' from 2002. Live action.
Also don't forget the 2 live action Guyver movies (Guyver aka Mutronics: The Movie and Guyver - Dark Hero)

Thanks for the pointers. Returner seems to be on youtube, I've looked at the trailer, could be interesting.
I only came across Gundam Wing by accident during a Google search when I found this picture:
gwduo08.jpg
Through it I tracked down some clips, liked them and found that Amazon had the (unedited) series on DVD, bought the first one liked it and bought the rest. On the DVD they advertised the models.
