Ryanair carry-on case
Looking for a carry-on case which suits Ryanair's max bag size of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.
I can find plenty that fit the 55x40 bit but not as shallow as 20cm. Any help would be apreaciated.
Dont want to be paying loads of money so the cheaper the better, preferably high street store.
TIA
Al

Re: Ryanair carry-on case
If you have a poundstretcher or instore nearby have a look in there. They usually have them for £8 -£10. I've got 4 from there and they've been used multiple times without any problem.
Just found a store locator and description of one such case here:
http://www.poundstretcher.co.uk/red-...gage-45cm.html

I used that Tesco case when i went to Sweden, you need to becareful as i packed all my clothes in there for a 5day trip and the weight came to 9.5kg...... the MAX limit is 10Kg, so having a slightly bigger case may cause you even more problems.

Re: Ryanair carry-on case
They've got this:
http://www.poundstretcher.co.uk/char...gage-55cm.html
but it's 22cm rather than 20cm if you wanted to risk it.
Personally I wouldn't with Ryanair because although you could be lucky and get through, if it's a jobsworth they are totally unforgiving.

I have used one similar in size to the poundstretcher one and had no problems.

You may get away with 2cms
Some have a guide that you have to put it in, if it don't fit, in the hold it goes.
Saying that some airlines allow you to take nothing much bigger than a lunch box, while others will allow you to take a bag the size of a small country.

Re: Ryanair carry-on case
Ryanair have something you try your bag in to see if it fits at check in - if you're not too far away from your airport, pop along. I'm travelling with Ryanair next week and they are sticklers for the rules so i wouldn't bother with anything bigger than the allowance.
I've got a holdall on wheels which fits the criteria and I purchased it from TJ Hughes for £12 - its been all over Europe with me

Re: Ryanair carry-on case
Thanks all for the replies
Popped into Matalan after having a look at the micro cases at instore.
They had some cases that are 55x36x20 & an empty weight of 1.94kg (sub zero g) black & white or pink & white. Had a trial fill of the case & with all I need and I have 3kg left
Thanks again all

I think the pink and white will go with your eyes after a trip to Ireland.

Not quite, as in a day on the lash drinking Jamesons.
